'Calling Birds' | The debut album by the band Satellite

Consisting of Steven McMorran (vocals/guitar), Mitch Allan (guitar), Josh Dunahoo (guitar), and Erik Kertes (bass), Satellite was formed in 2010 around songs written by McMorran and the production aesthetic of esteemed songwriter, Allan, with input from bandmate, Dunahoo. The alternative rock quartet blends boldly vulnerable lyrics with anthemic but finely textured pop and folk. Frontman Steven McMorran has a creative history of collaborating with everyone from Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo to Joe Cocker and Simple Plan.

Satellite recently finished up a national tour supporting Lisa Loeb and are heading back on the road with Tristan Prettyman. Full tour dates are below.

Calling Birds combines lyrical sincerity with a pull towards Americana. Eager to invest themselves into something that felt permanent, the band worked diligently to make a record that would be a worthy reminder of the passion it required.  With music that is both bracing and soaring, matched with lyrics that are vulnerable and raw, there is emotion that gets you right inside every song.
