In 1997 Joan Baez put her skills as an interpretive singer to fine use on this selection of folk songs by a clutch of artists more than 20 years her junior including Sinead Lohan, Dar Williams and Betty Elders.
"The songs on Gone From Danger still resonate with me and a number of them were staples of my live shows for quite a few years. I have often said that “Reunion Hill” by Richard Shindell is one of the best anti-war songs I’ve ever heard." Joan Baez
The bonus disc contains the complete 1997 Mountain Stage performance on which Joan is joined by Dar Wiliams, Sinéad Lohan, Richard Shindell and Betty Elders, performing many of the songs from Gone From Danger. Includes never before released concert favorite “Long Bed From Kenya ” and duet with Sinéad Lohan of Dylan’s “To Ramona.”
