Oh Mercy - If You Come Around Tonight

Alexander Gow and his Australian indie/folk band Oh Mercy have just released their latest music video for "If You Come Around Tonight" off their latest album When We Talk About Love, out now on Casadeldisco Records.

Alexander Gow loves telling a story with his songs and the latest one from Oh Mercy is no different. "'If You Come Around Tonight' is an old story," Gow says. "Most of us can relate: you're broke down and right or wrong you truly believe that all your ailments could be cured by one simple thing - the presence of the person you adore. That's a simple idea. Thats what this song is about."

When We Talk About Love is not only different in that it's the first album written in a different country, but it stands apart in sound as well. The increased use of layering synths and driving bass give the new album a dreamier feel, relying less on the guitar and accentuating the ambience of the music as a whole. A bit more straight-forward, When We Talk About Love sees Oh Mercy focusing more on songwriting and lyrics, which really stand out on each individual track.
