Meagan Tubb & Shady People: Rock & Roll & Soul!

Meagan Tubb & Shady People "unabashed Southern rock
with bluesy Texas underpinnings"

Meagan Tubb leads a séance of classic rock, blues, soul, and funk with originals written from the perspective of inanimate objects of nature, her own experiences, and “creatures apart from herself.”  With soulful rock vocals, dual lead guitars, slide guitars, three part harmonies, and a drum-bass dynamic rumored to be one of the most sought-after in Austin, Meagan Tubb & Shady People knock the wind out of you just as you realized you were even breathing. This upcoming week she'll be playing, meeting and having a wonderful time with the music world in her hometown of Austin, Texas.

Tuesday, March 15   INDIE VIXENS Mimosa-N- Music® Mixer
Beale Street Tavern, 214 E. 6th St, solo acoustic show, 1-2 p.m.
(RSVP musicnmimosa@indievixens.com - Who’s Who: Women in Technology, Film, Music and Media)

Wednesday, March 16   Texas Rockfest with the Shady People
The Blue Moon, 422 E 6th St, 9-9:45p.m.

Friday, March 18   Romeo's
1500 Barton Springs Rd, solo acoustic show, Midnight-1a.m.

Meagan Tubb & Shady People’s latest release, Cast Your Shadow, produced by Stephen Doster features songs from unusual perspectives and incorporates a fresh feel to a classic American sound. It also features Meagan recording on slide guitar for the first time!

In just a few years Meagan Tubb & Shady People have managed to win a battle of the bands competition, open for Willie Nelson (twice!), secure guitar sponsorships from both Dean and Luna Guitars and win Best Song in the Blues Category from the Independent Music Awards for “Let Me Believe."

At times sweet and sultry, at other times unwaveringly powerful and beautiful, Meagan and the Shady People have their own style of rock and roll and soul!
