Megan McCormick Proclaims It’s OK To “Burn To Shine” On Album Standout

As part of a climb back from the bottom, a person must remember it’s important to “burn to shine.” That’s Megan McCormick’s declaration on “Do Right,” a standout track from the 23-year-old Nashville-based singer, songwriter and guitarist’s debut album ‘Honest Words,’ out August 17 on Ryko. The jangly pop of the track is a perfect compliment to the positive, “seize the day” lyrics.

On ‘Honest Words,’ McCormick takes a wealth of both uplifting and disheartening experiences that belie her age, and transcends her unpredictable emotional landscape by coalescing her experiences into twelve tracks of raw, heavy, beautiful rock & roll.
